Como Borrar Imagem No Canva
Removing images in Canva is straightforward, but there are a few details people often miss
You select the image on your canvas, press Delete or Backspace on your keyboard, and it's gone. That's basically the entire process. The interface doesn't hide this anywhere — it's just as direct as it sounds. Open your design, click once on the image you want to remove. A blue border will appear around it confirming selection. Hit Delete. If the image has a shadow, border, or frame applied, those get deleted along with the image itself. Sometimes people think the image is still there because they're still seeing effects around empty space. For multiple images, hold Shift while clicking each one before pressing Delete. This is faster than removing them individually, though it gets finicky when you have twenty-plus elements on a busy canvas. I've lost count of how many times I accidentally deleted a text box along with the photo I actually wanted to remove.
elements that look like images but aren't
This is where most beginners get stuck. Shapes, frames, and background elements from the Elements tab often get confused with uploaded photos. A frame might contain an image, but clicking and pressing Delete only removes the image inside it, leaving an empty frame sitting there. You have to click the frame itself separately to get rid of that. Similarly, if you've used Canva's background remover on a photo and saved the result as a new element, both the original and the cutout can exist in your uploads folder. Deleting one from the canvas doesn't delete the other from your library. I spent ten minutes once trying to figure out why a "deleted" image kept reappearing in a different project. It was still in my uploads.
dealing with grouped elements
When images are grouped with text or other objects, selecting and deleting becomes trickier. You need to ungroup first — right-click and choose "Desagrupar" — then delete the specific image. If you try to delete while grouped, Canva sometimes removes the entire group. I learned this the hard way on a project where a client needed just the photo replaced but the surrounding text layout preserved. Ungrouping, deleting, then regrouping added about five minutes to what should have been a thirty-second task. Free and Pro templates sometimes lock certain elements. If you can't select an image at all, it might be part of the template's locked layer. Upgrading to Canva Pro unlocks this, but even then, some template elements resist deletion entirely. I ran into this with a magazine-style template where the header image was essentially hardcoded into the design. The workaround was duplicating the page, deleting the locked elements by covering them with a white shape, and rebuilding that section manually. It took longer but saved the project. Canva does keep a version history. If you accidentally delete an image and realize it moments later, go to File and select Version History. You can revert to any point before the deletion. This has saved me more times than I care to admit. The free version keeps versions for seven days, Pro extends that to thirty. Not infinite, but usually enough.

The undo shortcut Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z on Mac) works for the last action only. It won't bring back something you've already closed the tab on without using version history. Don't rely on it for anything beyond immediate mistakes.
