Como Tirar Os Anúncios Do Xiaomi
Um guia prático para resolver isso de vez
Remove advertising from Xiaomi phones is one of those tasks that sounds simple until you open the settings and realize there are at least seven different places where the Mi Ad service hides. I spent a few hours last month on a Redmi Note 12 with HyperOS 1.0, and the process is straightforward if you know where to look, but it is easy to miss something and wonder why ads come back two weeks later. Xiaomi's ad system runs through the "Mi Ad" service, which is baked into the launcher, the file manager, the download manager, the calendar, the weather app, and a handful of other default apps. It is not a single toggle. It is a collection of switches scattered across multiple menus, and Xiaomi occasionally moves them between MIUI and HyperOS versions. The most important thing to understand is that disabling ads on Xiaomi does not require root access, custom ROMs, or third-party tools. It only requires you to manually turn off each individual opt-in. The downside is that some of these switches are hidden behind nested submenus, and a few are not labeled in a way that makes it obvious what they control.
O método padrão: desativar um por um
Go into Settings and search for "Anúncios" or "Publicidade". The first result should be a section called "Sistema de recomendações" or "Serviço de anúncios do sistema". Disable it. This alone removes a significant chunk of the noise, but it is not the full solution. Next, open the Mi Gallery app and tap the menu. There is an option for personalized recommendations. Turn it off. Open the File Manager, go to Settings, and find the same option. Repeat for the Download Manager, the Security app, the Themes app, the App Vault, and the Clock app. Each one has its own toggle. The launcher is the biggest offender. In the Xiaomi Launcher settings, there is a section for "Gerenciar espaço" or "Painel de apps". Turn off personalized recommendations and any option related to content suggestions. On HyperOS, this sometimes appears under "Ícones e aparência do iniciador".
Um problema específico que eu encontrei e como resolvi
On a Redmi Note 12 Pro running HyperOS 1.0.3.0, I followed the standard steps and still saw recommendations in the file manager and the gallery every few days. I spent about twenty minutes digging through hidden settings before I found it: under Settings > Privacy > Permission manager > Special permissions > Display pop-up windows while running in the background, the Mi Ad service was allowed to show overlays even after I disabled the main recommendation toggle. Revoking that permission made the remaining ads stop appearing. This is a niche edge case, but it shows that some ads persist because they rely on overlay permissions rather than the main ad toggle. If you disable everything and still see ads, check the permission manager for any app with "Mi", "Ad", "Recommendation", or "Security" in the name that has pop-up or overlay rights.

O que o método não faz — e onde ele falha
Disabling the ad service manually does not remove the underlying framework. Xiaomi can push a system update that re-enables certain toggles or moves them to a different location. I have seen this happen after major HyperOS updates, where a setting I knew by heart relocated to a submenu I had never seen before. Another limitation: turning off personalized recommendations does not necessarily block all promotional banners. Some ads are served as system-level notifications rather than in-app recommendations. These can sometimes be suppressed by disabling notifications for the affected apps, but that is a blunt tool and you will miss legitimate alerts along the way. If you want a more aggressive approach, some users use ADB commands to disable the Mi Ad package entirely. This works, but it requires a computer and USB debugging enabled. It also means that when Xiaomi pushes a framework update, the disabled package may be re-enabled automatically, requiring you to run the command again. For most people, the manual toggle method is sufficient and takes about ten to fifteen minutes total across all affected apps.
Resumo rápido do processo
Disable the system ad service. Then go app by app through the file manager, gallery, themes, security, clock, and launcher. Check permissions for overlay or pop-up access. Reboot if anything behaves oddly. Do not expect a permanent fix if you plan to keep installing system updates, since Xiaomi may relocate settings or re-enable services without warning. The process is not elegant, but it does work consistently on MIUI and HyperOS devices as long as you are willing to check each menu individually.
